Going up - pull

Going down - hang on.

Going up, lift right leg and pull.

Rest briefly on left leg with the bad knee. 

Pull again, obviously with the left hand.  Eat lunch half way up.

 

It's antigravity because the small weight hanging down stops it from free-slide.  

Use the right hand for gripping the right bannister rail.  If there are vertical railings, even bettter!
